HCLTech and CrowdStrike package Falcon Guardian into managed AI security services
HCLTech and CrowdStrike said on Sept. 14 they are expanding their partnership to sell AI security as a managed service. The offering combines CrowdStrike's Falcon Guardian with HCLTech's consulting, implementation, AI governance and managed security work, run out of the Indian firm's Cybersecurity Fusion Centers.
The announcement is a sign that protection for AI agents is being sold as an outsourced service as well as software. Under the expanded deal, HCLTech will wrap Falcon Guardian, which CrowdStrike describes as detection and response for AI systems, in consulting and managed operations.
According to the companies, the combined offering spans AI applications, models and agents, the identities and data they use, governance, and resilience, along with continuing work to find, validate and reduce cyber exposure. HCLTech said it will apply two of its own frameworks, which it calls TRiBe and VERITY, to structure the engagements.
The release quotes Daniel Bernard, CrowdStrike's chief business officer, and Amit Jain, who leads HCLTech's cybersecurity business. It does not say when the service will be available, and its descriptions are the companies' own. HCLTech, based in Noida, India, is one of the largest Indian IT services firms. The deal follows CrowdStrike's announcement earlier in the month that Falcon Guardian would also cover OpenAI's Codex agents.
