CrowdStrike and OpenAI extend partnership to monitor Codex agents at runtime

Announced at CrowdStrike's Fal.Con conference in Las Vegas, the expansion places a security vendor's controls at the point where a coding agent carries out actions. According to the companies, Falcon Guardian will discover supported Codex agents across an enterprise, tie their activity to CrowdStrike's existing telemetry, flag behavior that looks compromised or unauthorized, and turn governance policies into runtime controls.

The second part of the deal brings GPT-5.6 Cyber, OpenAI's security-focused model, into the Falcon platform. CrowdStrike is also launching a service it calls Frontier AI Readiness and Resilience, or FAIRR. It pairs the model with the company's adversary intelligence, threat modeling and exploit validation to assess a customer's exposure and likely attack paths, with human experts overseeing the work.

The release quotes CrowdStrike chief business officer Daniel Bernard and OpenAI president Greg Brockman. It does not say when the Codex coverage or the new service will be available, and the capabilities described are the companies' own claims.
