Guth Labs respects the rights of publishers and creators. If you believe something on Guth Labs News infringes your rights, or you are a publisher who wants your items shown differently or not at all, tell us and we will act promptly.

How to send a notice

Email legal@getguth.com with the subject "Copyright notice" (or use the Guth Labs contact page). For a notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)), please include:

1. your physical or electronic signature;
2. identification of the copyrighted work;
3. the URL of each item on Guth Labs News you want removed;
4. your name, address, telephone number and email address;
5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and
6. a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Publishers do not need a formal notice to change how their own feed is shown: an email from the publisher is enough.

Designated agent

Registration pending. Guth Labs has not yet registered a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA directory. Until the registration is complete and listed here, send notices to legal@getguth.com.

What happens next

• We aim to acknowledge a notice within one business day.
• After a facially valid notice or a publisher request, we disable the item on every surface: web pages, all feeds, the JSON snapshot, the daily digest and the sitemap. A withdrawn Guth article answers "410 Gone" for every revision.
• If you believe material was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3).
• Guth Labs News does not host user uploads. Accounts or sources that repeatedly infringe are removed.
