The company said all training, evaluation and inference with tool use for its most capable models \"remain paused\". That page does not mention GPT-6.1.\n\nReuters also placed the decision in the context of a push to slow frontier development. Earlier this month, Anthropic chief executive Dario Amodei called for the industry to slow the development of frontier models so safety measures can keep pace, a view endorsed by OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman and SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk.\n\nThe decision comes ahead of OpenAI's developer conference in San Francisco, where the company has previously unveiled products aimed at software developers.
